How do I delete the yellow 'could not send' icon in text messages?

Hi.  I recently tried to send a photo file via a text message attachment, but it did not reach the recipient.  As a result, every subseqent normal text I send to said recipient, the Xperia P automatically displays the yellow 'could not send' icon in the top left hand corner of the screen.  It's really annoying this keeps on cropping up  - can anyone advise of how to eradicate this text reminder?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

James

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum! Slightly_smiling_Face

Have you tried deleting the message that caused the problem in the first place and then restart your phone? You can easily erase it by putting your finger and holding it on the message and then click Erase. Try it out! Slightly_smiling_Face

Thanks Petter, but that does not work.  If there was a way of accessing sent messages, I could probably delete it but as far as I know as text messages are all linked in 'conversations' it's impossible to do.

The yellow 'could not send' icon is coming up EVERY time I send a text to anyone and its hugely irritating.  Any more suggestions anyone????!!

Did you ever find out how to fix this problem and if so what was the solution? I have a similar problem and it is very frustrating, been googling for ages and can't find anything.

heres another. try removing the sim card of your phone. restart your phone without it, turn it off again and simply insert your sim card again. please post if it works.

Tried this,  no luck.  On the Xperia T it's a little red sad message face,  it's so annoying,  every time I send a message,  it appears,  and it also appears beside the contact. Could it have something to do with other apps,  such as Viber, hijacking the default.  How do you set messaging as the app to "launcby default?  It shows in the Apps info as not set,  but how to change this?  I had viber causing grief with my messaging,  the contact I was sending to was getting a different  message alert tone,  one they could not hear. I disabled Viber and they received my messages Ok.

Problem disapears if you delete the entire conversation for that contact.  Tried backup and restore before doing this, unfortunately it returned when I restored all the messages. I might try selectively deleting.
