I purchased M4 aqua dual on 09 august and noticed that while surfing for less than two mins, the back of the phone got heated up. It was really high temprature may be around 50 deg. i dont know if its normal or will be solved with next update?? or its a hardware issue???

I've got an M4 and I have also been experencing these heat issues. Yesterday I wasn't even doing anything special with the phone but I noticed it was very hot. The battery was 41 C and according to CPU-Z the other thermal sensors (probably CPU) reported 71 C. This is a whole lotta heat especially considering that no app was even using CPU power. So I turned it off and later on again and the temp returned to normal. Still these temps got me a little worried. I wouldn't want the plastic to melt...

I have seen benchmarks from reviews where M4 gets 34000 something in Antutu. When I ran it I just got 28000. In games it also feel a bit slow and I don't mean only very heavy games. Also read that other users have experienced this. Will it be fixed in a new update? As perfomance is now it seems the phone is under performing because of software related issues.

Hi @Sachinsoni @TonyJ

Are you still having this issue? Which version of Android you´re running on the device?

Hi , I'm french so , if you seen that i do some spelings mistakes,  forget it .

I buy my sony xperia m4  last's saturday.

Today when i unlock it , i seen that the phone not respond so i want to relunch it and it don't work , the phone is off but it is very hot .

I do the force extinction (http://i.imgur.com/BMStUTo.png) and it didn't work , then i see on a another forum that it's a good idea to refresh it so i take my fan and i put my phone in front of it  , nothings happened ...

I thinks it's because the last night i took my phone and my earphones to listen to music for sleep and i put my phone under my cushion by mistake . This morning the phone work good but it was very hot because of the cushion .

 Please i need help ! This phone cost me 300 € (341 USD) !

The phone will overheat when used extensively, and even more when you put it under a cushion. Just let it cool down without using it (or better turned off) and when it goes back to ambient temperature it will work normally.

No problem in hard resetting the phone using power button and volume up if it's totally unresponsive.

Hi,

Do you mean that you cannot see anything on the screen? Could you try to force a shutdown by holding down the ON/OFF + volume up(+) button for 5-10 seconds?
