Xperia z2 Magnetic Charging Dock doesn't work

Hi,

I've just received my Magnetic Charging Dock DK 36 for Xperia Z2. I tried to plug the dock in and charge the phone but it simply doesn't work. My phone said "Charger connected" then the message disappear and it won't charge. Even worse, the phone started acting really weird. It constantly reset itself and ended up black out. I had to hold power and volume button to reset the phone in order to turn on the screen again. Anyone has experienced this?

Are you pluging it in to the mains or via USB to a Pc as the latter will not work

I pluged it to the wall socket, not to my PC.

I will contact the store where I got it later. Not sure if the problem is the dock or the phone itself. I appreciate any suggestions, though.

I'm all out - That was the only thing that is a common issue - So as you said check with the store that the charger is working and if it is then have your phone check out either at the place of purchase or via Xperia care for your country http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Thank you for your responses. I will definitely contact the store. Since there is rarely anyone has issue with the dock, I am now highly suspecting that my phone has defects.

same issues and I bought a 2nd Sony docking charger from amaon and still the same!!!!!

Hey,

Check that your magnetic port is properly attached to the phone. Try for example pushing it a bit deeper with your nail. I had this problem and I actually had to remove the port from the dock with pinchers every morning and push it back in the side of the phone.

If you see your magnetic port moving when you add a little pressure to it, its faulty and you should send it to repairs.

I sent my phone it to warranty few weeks ago and got it back this week. As an early buyer I had all kinds of problems with my Z2, went to the repair store with an A4 full of faults with my phone. This was one of them.

Are you using a cover to protect the phone? Try without cover

whyyyy cant it work on pc usb, thtz ridicolouz!!!

anyway, i noticed that the device charge fazter i dock than on regular usb. very peculiar ztuff. zorry, my s iz broken.

pz. great battery and cheap zpare partz make thiz device awezome
