Headphones problem

Hi all!

I have a problem with my Xperia M (C1905) and headphones.

I have a pair of headphones model Yamaha pro 400 and I can't get any sound to them on Xperia M, the music just plays on the speaker in the phone itself and not in the headphones. It works fine with the headset/headphones that comes with the telefphone from the box.

Why is that?! The headphones (Yamaha Pro 400) worked perfectly on my previous phone and works on my computer!

Please anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

Sorry for bad english.

Thanks!

Still not working. I've tried a lot of different approaches, nothing seems to solve, except if I restore all factory data. I'm not doing that again, cause the last time worked only for two days. Hope new firmware will solve this.

Maybe its a hardware issue

Try contact sony

The Update on Android 4.3. didn't resolve the problem. As this problem happened to so many persons at the same time, a hardware problem is quite impossible. It seems to me as if there was some change in software responsible for the non-working headphones.

I was having the same problem that my hedaset suddenly did stop working with my Xperia M, but it was not defect because on other devices it still played music. First I was thinking of a hardware defect on the Xperia M, but then I found out that some other headphones (like old iPod headphones) still were working. So it has to be s software problem by Sony, again... !!!

The solution to the problem is the following: Download the app "SoundAbout" from Play Store and configure it to play Media Audio by Wired Headphones/Headset. And suddenly it's working again. If you want to use the internal speaker of the Xperia M, just switch back to "Speaker" in the App!

I am also facing the same problem with my Sony Headphones which came with the device.

Sometimes it is playing perfectly and sometimes the device doesn't recognise the headphones being connected and it plays with the speaker. But other headphones are working perfectly.  There is also a time lag of 10 seconds when a track is played.

The moment the playbutton is pressed the timer starts running but the song plays only after 10-15 seconds but it plays from the beginning. Lately my Xperia M has been behaving weird.

My opinion is that the problem is on the software side, If anyone has any suggestions pls let know.

Thanks
