headphone functionality changed automatically!!!

Hi the headset I got with xperia p used to change songs,  pause and play them,  pickup and disconnect calls but  now I dont know why they just adjust the media and call  volumes.  Does anyone know how to change this setting????

@pratikt check whether ur earphones can be used normally in other xperia 2012 phones if possible !! this will prove if something is wrong with the earphone controls itself !! if everthing works fine then itz  a bug with ur sxp !! basically moderators out here look for problems which many users are facing rather than a single indvidual !! so i gues nothing much can be done by them either !! also check similar apps to jays control to chk if any restore ur functionality !! hav u tried repairing the phone ?? !! last step would be to go to the service centre at your place !! hopee u find my post useful !!

Hi ,

I tried one thing today and it worked dont know how . I kept the headphone connected to the device and restarted the phone . Now I can change songs , pickup calls and also Jays controller now works fine . I also removed some of the unwanted livewallpapers I had downloaded from the Market . I think some app was oveeriding the usual function . Now everything is great . Thanks for taking into consideration my issue even though no body else was facing it . Thanks Sony support .

What headphones are you guys talking about, the standard earphones provided with the device ?? or some other headset ?? and the standard one can change the tracks ??

double click the button on the headphone . Also you can dowload Jays headse controller , link mentioned in earlier comments for more functions like - go to previous track , increase/decrease volume .
