headphone functionality changed automatically!!!

Hi the headset I got with xperia p used to change songs,  pause and play them,  pickup and disconnect calls but  now I dont know why they just adjust the media and call  volumes.  Does anyone know how to change this setting????

hey i guess u dnt need to worry much abt this problem !! i mean something might have messed up ur settings which control the earphone !! but dnt worry there are a whole lot of apps available which can resolve urt problem !! many apps are out there in the market which do the same thing and u can download any of those !! howevwer i would recommend the JAYS  Headset control as i somewhere in a forum read another xperia p user using it and he loved it a lot !! the link to it is down under

I knew the app but was wondering how come it changed automatically and from where can I change it again.

JAYS Headset Control:

- Apps used to control headset clicks will conflict with ICS's lockscreen music widget due to Android's architecture

- The app is incompatible with Android 4.1+ (Jelly Bean) due to Google forcing Voice Search to interfere with headset clicks

I installed the app still the headphone just increases the volumes

you can do a Settings reset and see if that does it, but it seems that it might be another app acting up

might be u plugged another earphone which changed the default settings and adapted it to suit itz controller

I am using the default player walkman,  I just updated to ICS thought SUS thought now there will be no problem but still the problem persists.
