GPS problem, not any signal!

the problem is that i cant use my gps (tryed several gps apps, sygic, google maps, ), it finds sattelites but cant position me or my route and if i leave him for searching my positvion after a while my phone gets hot.

what i tried so far:

-restarting phone --> didnt help, wel once but after a minute lost that signal again

-flight mode on or off --> didnt help

-wifi on or off --> (if it connects to a wifi it works but still no gps signal)

-roaming on or off --> didnt help

please help me to fix this problem, i am most of my time on the road these days and surely need somethimes assistance on road (im on vacation in france btw)

Are you sure? because I am going to give my phone in service center for replacement in a few days.

should I wait till ICS release?

what i understand from ure answer is dat gingerbread is not compatible with the sony gps hardware on the phone because ure having enormous people complaining about it.

People what i tryed so far:

-updated my phone to the latest update available, i believe the one with 84 ending. It was awfull, battery drained like nothing, got lag. Something i found out about battery drain was if u set up an Alarm for a day or two, ure battery drained 3x quicker then before. If u dont believe me, try it ureselfs. GPS didnt work also with this update.

-the above problem was worser then the one i was complaining about and the only solution was to get back to the previous software. Went to the dealer i bought from, they said i had to wait several weeks for repair. I couldnt wait that long so repaired it myself by rooting it and flashing the old rom back. Battery drain did fix, but got another poblem that i havent got before. Signal drop......

-Now im on the original rom the phone came to me, im "happy" with it while still not able to use GPS....

CAN U GIVE US AN DATE FOR THE ICS UPDATE PLEASE!!!!!!

I got problem with the GPS too i takes a lot of time to connect if it connect.  I'm on .184 and for the first days it was connecting really fast. I repaired from PCcompanion still the same.   the bad thing is that i really need the GPS

GPS Developer promissed us it solve in ICS,Just wait afew day

this is what typically happens when I try to use gps

more than 20 min, 10%  battery drop, 13 satellites in view, but still no fix(but fixed after 30 min)

Are you guys facing similar scenario?

u got lucky cuz u got sat in range wich i dont get even one in 99,99% of any case
