GPS problem, not any signal!

the problem is that i cant use my gps (tryed several gps apps, sygic, google maps, ), it finds sattelites but cant position me or my route and if i leave him for searching my positvion after a while my phone gets hot.

what i tried so far:

-restarting phone --> didnt help, wel once but after a minute lost that signal again

-flight mode on or off --> didnt help

-wifi on or off --> (if it connects to a wifi it works but still no gps signal)

-roaming on or off --> didnt help

please help me to fix this problem, i am most of my time on the road these days and surely need somethimes assistance on road (im on vacation in france btw)

Sounds like it could be wise to try repairing your phone's software. You can easily perform the repair with Sony PC Companion, available for download on the link below.

The repair option is availalble in the section called Support Zone.

problem is not solved, cant repair my phone trough pc companion it says "there is no software available for your phone"

i press ok and thats it, nothing happens

im using windows 7 64bit

I have the same problem.
I tried to compare it with the other phone.
The other phone got signal lock (fix) in less than a minute.
but this phone didn't even get signal fix in 10 minutes

I too have a similar problem with my GPS. It takes unusually long times for fixing (10-15 min). Support team suggests to repair phone software, but currently it's no working. It is showing the same error for everyone. So the only option now is to go Toby service center near by. In my case even the service center is not working, so I've given up trying. I think pcc will work after next update release, so waiting for it.

@kenaney: what is the problem you are facing exactly, is it about fixing times or GPS is not connecting at all? was it working fine before?

Hi ! It is true that gps takes 1-2 minutes sometimes on my phone build B.1.564. I get sats only outdoors. sometimes it helps to exit google map app and then re start it and then i get gps fix immediately. If you see no gps sats by any app i think you have to visit service centre:smileysad:

today i found out that via sygic nav software u can see if it see's sattelites or not and via that app it can find sattelites, more then enough but on navigation software self it doesnt connect to any...
