flash problem

Hi, I have a problem with taking pictures in low light with flash using my Xperia M. The flash turns off before the camera actually snaps a picture, so the picture is all black, as if I had not turned the flash on. What should I do? Thanks!

try full flash option

I've tried auto, fill flash, and red-eye reduction options but the image is black in each case.

Also try clearing app data at Settings--Apps--All apps--Camera--Clear data. It may work.

I've tried clearing app data, but without luck. Flash is just not turned on while the camera is taking a picture. I don't know, it seems as if the software is slow. The phone is new, by the way.
