Facebook Voice message Error

Whenever I try to send a voice message on Facebook Messenger, it will record, but after that it will freeze and when i try to record it again and it wont send. It just says 'Unable to record audio', and my microphone would stop working for my entire phone until i restart it. Can anbody help?

Try to clear data for facebook in settings-apps-all.

Do you have skype also?It might be related to another app using the mic.Maybe chrome.

Havent installed Skype or any other kind of microphone app. I can record my voice using voice recorder etc

Boot the phone in safe mode,see if the same occurs:

It seems it is seen as 3rd party app.You should contact the developers.And also xperia care:

I contacted Sony a couple of days ago with still no reply. But i will try and get hold of Facebook. Cheers for the help!
