Experia Pro Upgrade STILL impossible???

Hello

I have been trying to upgrade my phone (experia pro) a few times in the last year to upgrade to a more recent Android

version.

I have mailed with support and such to help me upgrade but they keep telling me  that there is an Android 4.xx 

version for the expria PRO.

If you read on

They talk about a 4.1.B.0.587 version.

That version was never downloaded to my phone. I just reflashed it but still the same problem

version of the build: 4.0.2.a.0.63

Android version: >>>>> 2.3.4 <<<<<

This is just insane

Also on the website If you click to upgrade you *indeed* get to the following page that states Android 4.0 is not present "yet" for my phone

This is just REALLY insane in 2013 that there still is no upgrade. WHat can I do?

The experia pro link on that page points to an unexisting rapidshare page and it looks Like I will need to void the waranty for a phone I did get because sony promissed an upgrade.

And is the upgrading information wrong (e.g. why doesn't sony provide ANY upgrade to the experia pro on the upgrading page?)

uliwooly it looks like you know your way around. The information on the thread you posted to is just ... confusing me at this stage. I know about Android and Android development but not so much about downloading random stuff from rapidshare and reading 20 pages for threads on a forum.

Any other pointers? The phone was not brought from a provider but directly so it is up to Sony to help with the upgrade.

If your phone is or was locked to a carrier it will be up to them to approved and release the update, I've seen that on other countries, even here in the US. 

It's quite simple to flash your phone, you have to download 

1) flashtool

2) firmware (ftf file) 

follow the steps and voila, done
