elm accelerometer calibration ?

I have just bought a new elm from UK. when i installed that water level app they levels are off. i was wondering is there any way to calibrate the accelerometer? please help.

I have the same problem (with the water level app) on my Aino.

Which other apps can I use to test my accelerometer?

The Autorotate feature and Walkmate application are based on the motion sensor.Are these working OK on your phone?

Autorotate works fine (in games, browser etc.).

Aino is not compatible with Walkmate app but the motion/tilt sensor works fine in games like LocoRoco.

I tend to think it is not accurate and maybe needs calibration. In the Water Level app it shows -6 instead of 0 when the phone is aligned (sits straight).

You can actually change the settings in the Water level app., so that it reads 0 when it sits straight.

I tried. It won't save the setting.

Then I suggest you delete and re-download the app. from the Playnow website.Since the other motion sensor-related features work OK, it's most likely a problem with this app. rather than the phone.

I tried it now but same thing happens.

The accelerometer works, but this is about accuracy.

No other app I know measures the accuracy like Water Level.

Well if it's any consolation, the same thing happens on my W995, so it's an issue with the app. itself, it seems.
