Draft SMS message will not delete

Hi,

I have a Sony Ericsson Arc and for some reason all of a sudden I cannot delete draft messages or if I delete a conversation, it remains in my inbox with (no subject) written under the person who the conversation is with (see attached image)

Does anyone else have this issue and how do I resolve it?  My inbox is getting full up with empty draft messages

I've just noticed that someone has asked about this before but the answer doesn't fix my issues.  I have checked that there are no spaces or commas etc in the drafts and I have long pressed on the draft entry and the delete option comes up, but when I select it, it still doesn't delete the draft message.  As you can see from the image, some have recipients and some do not

If I do a software repair (I have the latest version of the phone software), will it affect anything on my memory card?  Is a software repair like a factory reset?  I don't want to lose all my SMS messages
