Dont get notifications

In my xperia sola sometimes I dont get sound notifications for SMS or whatsapp and other apps. But once I restart the phone it gets back to normal. Needed help.

How is it related to the notification tone?

It may be a corrupt file being used for the notification tone which would explain the lack of noise. It can be other thing as well but this is the first thing I would advise checking.

Well its a tone built in the phone itself. And it is sometimes the tones get turned off. I do get calls. And once I restart the phone it gets back to normal

i do have the same problem i dnt knw what to do many times i restarted fone its embarresing and SD card messgae tones are not accepted in sola

If you are trying to use ringtones and alarm/alert sounds stored in your SD card and/or internal memory of your phone, try using Android Settings compatible file manager (preferably ES File Explorer)...

Once installed, navigate to (this Android 4.0.4 settings)

Settings > Sound > Phone ringtone

...and there should be an option to "Complete action using..."

1. Android System

2. ES File Explorer

3. Sound picker

Choose ES File Explorer

...and just find your ringtones and pick it! :smileygrin:
