Problems after updated to 4.2.2..

Hi friends,

I noticed some problems after updated to jb 4.2.2 for c6602 in India.

Here are they

* Album app is very slow to load

* Zoom is not working properly after update..also very laggy....

* Lock screen doesn't have walkman widget,only showing while playing

* Bit slow totally

* Don't have enough lock screen widget

there any one feeling above problems?

I have to agree, that it's a bit slow and I'm missing some lock screen widgets.

Do you have a problem with your keyboards and disabling them?

Yep agreed. No sign of project "butter" or whatever the Google smoothness -thingie is called that's a part of the 4.2 Android.

+ MOST ANNOYINGLY my phone is losing coverage and won't reconnect to the network. Not even after putting it on airplane mode or EVEN when trying to manually reconnect to my home network...just says "failed to connect". After reboot it picks up the network in seconds. Before the update there was no issues like this.

SONY: Please check this and issue an update asap or I'm forced to install PAC or some other custom ROM even though I'd like to use yours as it is the best manufacturer "skin" for Android out there...

I'm mostly annoyed by the screen orientation lock miniapp not working anymore. Is there any other (easy) way to lock/unlock the orientation?

one more problem is on changing home screen or menu pages is getting stuck some times...

I think 4.1 was good than 4.2 in xperia z.

sony should solve this problem...becoz lot of problems are in new update..

I too have all the problems mentioned above. I am thinking to revert to 4.1.2 again. I didnt expect this much lag in a flagship device. Also I am facing problem in tethering to the laptop.

Where have the developer options gone from settings??? I can't limit background tasks now, and the phone is so much slower.

@jcreedy : to enable developer mode, go to Settings => About phone => tap "Build number" repeatly 7 times.

Me too, swiping apps drawers is very laggy, especially after i leave an app to menu and swipe right or left. Photo album used to run smoothly. Did the Sony technician make a careful test on the device before releasing the update? I would sit and try to test everything although it takes a bit longer time to make the firmware available to customers. Being a little late is better than losing customers' faith.

I have noticed following bugs in Xperia z 4.2.2 update.

• When you set pattern lock for the lockscreen, it doesnt asks for security question and answer like before.
    If someone forgets the pattern he has set,then The only option left would be to reinstall firmware via sus.
• No developer options menu in settings
• When you turn off the screen using power button, the slow transition is quite noticeable.Earlier it was instant in 4.1.2.
• Minor lags in home launcher as well as drawer menu( the reason seems to be the changing transparency of top and bottom toolbars..sony,plz either keep it black or transparent,
    (black is better) )
• Lag in messaging as well as album app.
• Camera software seriously needs a proper update.

Sony, Plz fix these bugs in your next update which we hope to see soon.
