Ever since the latest update on my phone, I've noticed that it has been increasingly difficult to pull down the drag down menu. Instead, there is this new feature whereby if you drag down on the screen you get to "search apps" on your phone (something I could do by simply going onto the main phone menu, mind you). So for a while it was a fiddly business, trying to get the drag down menu while also attempting to avoid the new search apps feature. It got more and more difficult and more and more frustrating until finally I found myself unable to get the drag down menu at all. Yesterday I tried to turn up the brightness on my phone via the drop down menu only to find that I couldn't get it. Instead, I could "search apps".
I was wondering whether anybody else was experiencing the same issue of not being able to get the drop down menu since the update, and if there are any solutions. I have tried restarting the phone, but I'm more reluctant to restore factory settings unless it is absolutely necessary. I only have about 4 months left with this phone, but I'd still appreciate being able to, say, turn on my mobile data without having to delve right into settings.
