Ok, so I enabled APN in the settings. But, I want to be able to enable/disable my APN so I can be sure that I'm not getting charged for using the Internet when I'm not. On the top of my screen I see an E with 2 arrows, one pointing up and one pointing down, when I turn my Wi-Fi on this dissapears and is replaced by a Wi-Fi icon, and I don't get charged for browsing. But I want to be able to turn APN on and off, I can't uncheck the option for APN which I chose, and the application I downloaded does not work. The icon remains there when I'm not connected to a router even if APN is disabled.
My balance is going up and down, it's now at £9.20, like it was £7.97 5 minutes ago and earlier it was £9.33
That's exactly what happens to my balance on the W995 after accessing the internet with my mobile network. It appears that it takes a little while for the balance to adjust to its correct value while initially being charged too much.I have noticed this with both the O2 and Tesco mobile networks and since Tesco mobile is actually a subsidiary of O2, it may be O2-related, although I don't know which network you're using. This doesn't happen when using Virgin mobile.
I'm on O2 also. Once this Web tariff is active then I won't really have to worry about this stuff. I've found a working application that actually lets me turn APN on/off.
