Devices Icon??

The past few days I keep getting the Movies icon in the notification bar. However when I drag the bar down it tells me "Devices is running". The only way to get rid of the icon is to force so it!

Can someone tell me what it is and what I need to do to get rid of it please?

Is it telling you that there's an update via the Update centre app or Playstore for said app

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. No is the simple answer.  It doesn't appear to be the Movie App just has the same icon!

It simply says "Devices is running; Touch for more information or to stop the app".

Once clicking on the notification it takes me to the app which is titled "Devices" v 6.0.0.A.0.18  I'm not able to disable it but it will allow me to force stop it.  I have no idea what this "devices" process is or what it is for?

If I force stop it, it dissappears only to reappear again later on!  Force stopping it doesn't seem to have any effect on anything....as yet!

I have gone into running apps and the following services are stated under this "devices" process;

- DlnaDmsService

- UpnpServiceCp

- UpnpClientManagerService

- DlnaDmsServerConnection

- PushServicelmpl

Hi,

I am curious if you go to the bottom of this issue, as the same thing has just started happening with my M2.

Regards

Hi ajsmith,

I did but not by knowingly doing anything.  It appears just to have stopped of it's own accord.
