delete emails from server

How do I permanently delete emails from my Yahoo email account on the server, when I.m using the email app on my phone? I can't see this option anymore on the email settings?

If you use the yahoo mail app,just slide from left to right on the edge of the screen and after you normally trash an email,you can clean the trash can or spam can.

Thanks, I don't use a specific yahoo mail app, just the email app that was already on the phone, and I added my Yahoo account to it...

With that one is almost the same,drag from the edge of the screen. But I am not sure if deleting will result in deleting from servers too.

It would if you adjust the settings on the email providers site but this is different depending on provider but you do normally have a pop setting for this

Sorry, what does that mean 'have a pop setting for this', and how do I alter the setting?

You need to login to your email providers site and select settings then read through all settings like forwarding and syncing this normally comes under pop - I can't tell you what to do because I don't know how your provider works
