On Lollipop my Clear audio works strange. When using phone speakers - walkman the sound is loud, bassy and crisp, but using with NC31E phones it's shallow with no treble, anyone noticed. I cleared audio+ and walkamn data still phone sounds better alone with clearaudio, and lacks quality using headphones. Is there any walkaman update coming around to fix clearaudio's intelligence and scene recognition?
the settings are noise cancelling headset MDR -NC31EM (or something alike).. second to: none/default.. It's walkman software problem I'm sure, movies with MX are loud and cinematic like.. After reboot when entering advanced options in walkman while I listen to music, the sound is changing without touching anything and becomes "under shower" like 😛 far and no trebles. I can stand the lower bass then set by own equalizer settings, but I have to always switch between clear audio on mobile and equalizer on headphones. I always used clear audio + and albums never sound so crappy. Audio files are 320 - 450kb/s but sound like an old radio 56 kbps. Can't say how was the first walkman instance on lollipop cause it was winter and i didn't use my in-ear phones cause I use them while running, but I'm sure in last summer and kitkat, clear audio did great job.
The system is lollipop preinstalled factory by sony centre, cause prewious Z2 had charging proplems and was replaced, so I don't wanna touch the system myself, or repair it in any way with Companion. I'm affraid the charging problem might occur again after fresh setup, and beneath walkman all system is working fine and smooth, no message errors, ghost touches or system crashes.
Open the walkman app then
Walkman > settings > sound effects > sound effects > headphone settings
Which settings do you have there under "Headphone settings"
Phones selected - Noise cancelling set mdr-nc31ne
microphone sensitivity - Auto
DNC - OFF
DXSE - ON (when clear+ is unselected)
Those are NOT the settings
follow this steps, don't skip a step.
Open the walkman app > settings > Sound effects > here you will see SOUND EFFECTS again > then you will see
Equalizer
Headphone settings
Speaker settings
As said before the DSEE HX in ON and the VPT is OFF, S-Force is OFF also, there are no more options on Lollipop, sorry if I wasn't precise.
