I have a problem with my Sony Xperia T. It ran out of battery last night and when I plug it into the charger it won't charge and the red LED doesn't come on. However, if it is plugged into the wall and I hold down the power on button, the red LED comes on while the power button is held. After 7 or 8 minutes of holding the button down, the phone vibrates and turns on but only long enough for me to enter my pin-code and then shuts down again.
Anyone have any idea what's going on or how I can fix it?
Cheers,
Dave.
Put it on mains charge for 24 hours.
Press and hold Power and Volume Up buttons together til you feel 3 vibrations, try every few hours.
Isn't working, it's not even acknowledging that it's charging. The only way I can get the phone to turn on is by holding down the power button while it is charging for a good few minutes, but then it cuts off after about 30 seconds. I've heard similar occurences to this are quite a common fault with the xperia t, is there any official word by Sony on the matter?
I think its a fault with the phone. Mine died in a sort of similar way and i had to send it off for repair. At first they said it was the first "T" that they had to repair but after a bit of conversation with the reapir centre they have had loads in for similar issues. They reckon its a design / manufacturing fault :smileyshocked:.
If you are in the UK and on a 2 year contract use the SOGA to get repairs in the second year as we will surely need them. If only /sony had cutomer service like apple....
