Camera Fix for Xperia P

Hello Sony Support,

Is there any update for Camera issue( half pic appears black on 8mp with flash) on Xperia P.

as for now there is no fix on this issue..but please do try using 6mp instead 8mp..in this setting you can use the camera with no problem even with flash on it..all of us here are still hoping that jellybean will still fix the camera bbug issue..goodluck

yes, it was a long time past issue, but the 6mp fixed the problem..not the same quality with 8mp but still works fine than having the bug with 8mp. nobody confirmed that it will be fixed in the next update but we hope it will be fixed. thats only thing we can count on right now..

This is for sure that this bug will be fixed in the Jelly Bean update!

In the leaked Jelly Bean, this bug was fixed.
There are also some fixes for rooted phones posted by developers, but I personally wouldn't recommed that.

We do understand and hope for the best that next update will rectify the 8mp camera issue. But do we have any conformation from Sony Tech Team that they have acknowledged this issue and will resolve it in next update?

This is my only concern rest I have no issue with my Xperia P.

As said,they acknowledged it..they know that issues and there are no straight answer for that at the moment. You can also root the phone cause its already fix in xda roms.

I guess if I root the phone means warranty will get void. please correct me or else please let me know the procedure "How to root the phone".
