can't text web URL
I'm on at&t network. Any time I put a web address in a text message and send it, my phone shows it sent, but the other person never receives it. I've tested it with two people who are using Iphones. One is on Verizon, the other is on straight talk I think.
For example, I put "testing airbnb.com" in a text to them. If I send it to my own number, it goes right through. I haven't tested on any other android phones yet. It doors this with both Textra and the stock messaging app. I'm almost positive it worked before I sent it for a screen replacement and Sony upgraded it to lollipop
Any ideas?
Thanks

How are you sending this links? through the regular messaging app or a third party messaging app or email?

I've tried stock and third party text messaging apps. I haven't tested email.
I'm waiting to hear back from a non iPhone person to see if they got it. I'll update when I find out.

A dumb phone on another network doesn't receive them, but an android that is also on AT&T DOES get them. Now to figure out if it's the carrier, or the phone manufacturer!

Actually, I just verified that another android on Verizon isn't getting them. I think AT&T messed up when they reactivated my phone somehow. I'll call them tomorrow and update the thread.

Still working on it, but it is related to the carrier, not the phone manufacturer. I can send to an iPhone that's on at&t. I've posted questions on at&t support page, and on XDA. Hopefully I'll figure something out soon.
