Can not hear when making calls

I have the SP and when I call a number i cannot hear it ringing unless I press the speaker button, I went back to the store yesterday and they replaced the handset, today the new one is doing exactly the same thing, anyone any ideas or is it just faulty?

Try a software repair,it still not working could be something buggy.

Thanks but how do I do that? I have turned it off using the off button inside and have checked for all updates a getting annoyed now. This is my fifth Sony and not had problems with any of the others, I think this will be my last one.

Download,install and open.Follow the steps provided to repair.

I think I have it sorted it was something so simple, the case I bought had a stylus that plugged into the headphone socket and when it was fully plugged in I could not hear the ringing but when it was not in then I coulld hear the phone ringing.It also affected the voice search when it was inserted this too is now working.
