My Xperia S camera button has stopped working.
I half press, it focuses, i full press it does nothing.

On screen button still works fine, and if i change the Quick Launch setting to "open camera and take photo" it takes one photo, but wont take any more with the "hard button"

Please dont say to press the button harder, ive had this phone a year, ive taken thousands of photos... i know how hard to press it...

Also, and this has really annoyed me... PC companion wont work with Windows 8.1.
Sonys suggestion is that I find a computer with an older OS???? Thanks for that.

Seus... no longer seems to have support for the S either?

So i'm unable to soft the software.

For SUS you need to run it in compatibility mode with windows 7.

Take the phone to closest service,as it may be hardware.

Managed to get Update Service to at least list the Xperia S (running in W7 compatibility mode - thanks for that).
However, still cant do anything as even when I plug the usb in with the volume down button i just get a notification from windows that the device has malfunctioned and SUS does nothing.

Its 100% not a hardware issue as holding the camera button all the way down still activates the camera when its set on quick launch... so its not like its a button fault.
