Camera App Freezes

Hi!

The camera app freezes often on my Xperia Z Ultra.

Syptome:
- After taking a picture the app was continuously showing the last image not the camera picture.
- After closing and reopening the app only a black blank screen is shown with the shutter buttons and the focus square. No available exit/close buttons, the default android buttons (home/back/recent-apps) are not available.
- Restarting the phone helps only.

I made a screenshot and will be attached soon.
It happens regularly so please investigate and fix it.

Settings, apps, all, camera, clear data, restart your phone

Thanks your reply but clearing app data or cache must not affect the overall behaviour of an android program.

I have the exact same problem. Months ago it started to crash and force closing just the second the camera app was opened. I sent it to Sony Care service but they refused to fix it and claimed it would be releasing a update for it. 5 months has passed and nothing here. My phone has been encrypted and so is my sd card. Think that's the problem or something else...

I got problem when i make pic from lock screen pic freez and i need block my phone after that the same problem some times is from app when i want make pic ;( pliz help

Im experiencing it now. Hope they would update it asap. Kinda annoying turning off and on the phone just to make camera work again..
