How about to have an official bug fix / wish list here on the forum. Forum users to add their bugs and suggestions for continuous improvement to the Arc handset for the benefit of all Arc users and Sony!

Come on Sony forum reps, have you learnt from the past, are you up for the challenge?

I can kick things off with the following

Bug Fix / Wish List for next update after 2.3.3

Add support for BBC iPlayer downloads - support WMDRM10 or OMADRM2

Bug with user guide - Sony ref 90434693

Bug when connecting with PC companion, handset/PC companion reporting different battery levels - Sony ref 90430880

One more suggestion:

When you take a photo, the numeration begins with 1,2,3,4............. But when you take the photos out of the phone the numeration is reseted and begins other time by 1,2,3,4.....This way you have the old and the new photos with the same numeration. Can you fix this numeration problem?

Let's keep the ideas and suggestions coming...

I would really love to see smart dialling in the default dialer/contact app, just because of the looks, and of course the integration.

Right now I'm using myDialer lite.

I dont want to use appplications which shud have been a basic to this phone..

i mean we cant chose alarm ringtone..how sick is that

and when the alarm rings its awful,,it's not gentle,,

for this m using alarm clock plus..

we cant make a call just by 1 touch or swipe..

thers no option for repeating the same song..

the point is that i know market applications solves this problems but also since these have to operate 24 hrs they use significant amount of RAm space and battery..

I recently replaced my SE X1 with an arc.

Time & Date settings are set to Automatic (Use network-provided values)

When travelling from The Netherlands to another timezone the arc is stuck on Dutch time instead of switching to the new timezone.

I travel a lot and I would really like to see this fixed.

(This problem did not occur with the X1, same SIM-card, Vodafone.)

Perhaps I'm understanding you wrong...to set the alarm ringtone open the Alarm app, select the alarm you want to edit (or create one), then select "Ringtone" to choose.

Hmm..i see it now:-D but still there are many more featurea..like no stop watch 😛   I dont want to download apps for these basic func..and there are many more probs in this forum.. I mean basic  things that most of the users.wanted in the phone

I updated my bug list to the firmware 4.0.A.2.368. This is what i have notied with this firmware:

-When you call in GSM mode only, the sound is choppy on calls(breaks in sound). In WCDMA does not occur. This problem is much less than in the previous firmwares.Please sony fix it completely!!

-When you are connected to wifi and hold the phone with the hand over the sony ericsson logo, the signal strength decreases and if the signal is weak it disconects.

-When you end a call, the call timing is not shown.

-Still not automatic brightness option in the menu screen.

-The crt effect when you power off the screen doesn´t adapt to landscape mode.

-The sound recorder is on the phone but there is no shorcut to it.

-When you put a direction into a contact, when you are seeing the contact and push the direction a Force close occurs: proccess  com.sonyericsson.infiniteview

-When you put images to the contacts of the camera album, when you sinchronize with gmal account the images of all the contacts gets very small. This does not occur with previous firmwares.

- (Suggestion) Make an option in   the  bluetooth widget to make visible the bluetooth,  otherwise if you   use  the widget you have to enter in adjustments to make it visible for  a   few seconds making the widget useless.

-   (Suggestion): More widgets in the launcher  screen off,  flash on/off, battery % and so on. (Like  the app   extended controls).

-(Suggestion): Possibility to select the compression or quality of the photos taken by the camera.
