Bluethooth vs Wifi issue

Hi, can anybody confirm to see a similar problem ?

I have connected a bluetooth mouse and a bluetooth keyboard to the Z Tablet.

My Wifi seems to have then interferences and can not get data in or out even if the signal strength is on full bars.

When I switch off my Bluetooth devices the WIFI is back on right away.

Also just one Bluetooth device is causing the problem however it looks to me as not as severe.

Indeed the problem with Wifi performance being degraded when BT is used seems to be solved.

I applied the upgrade and tested again and everything seems to be ok.

Strangestly the update to 4.2.2 did not solve any of my issues. I returned one of them yesterday.

Lo and behold!

The update has fixed the wifi vs Bluetooth issue for me.

I really was convinced that it was a hardware issue.

Sony :

1) Thank you for adding value to my Tablet

2) Why not admitting that there is a problem and you are working on it?

Really telling me that you can not see the problem, bring it in , we will replace it .... why? just playing games and increasing my frustration.

Well, the past is the past, the tablet works as I was expecting the first time and I can kiss the RF dongle and keyboard goodbye.(I brought that when the Bluetooth keyboard did not work together with wifi)

Now my initial question is answered (Not when you said it )

Same for me : problem has been fixed with the Android 4.2.2 software upgrade.

The 4.2.2 update did not fix this for me.

I have a very colorful way of showing this issue:

Try a speedtest-application without bluetooth enabled.

Try it again with bluetooth keyboard+mouse enabled, see how it totaly fails, even drops the connection.

It also fails if I use only the keyboard and mash for example volume up/down whilst the test is running.

I wonder if a factory reset would change anything in the core-bluetooth settings.

But either way, as this seems to be a software issue (since it magically started to work again for some users) it would seem that going with cyanogenmod or somerhing else would solve the issue, no? Anyone with another ROM that still has issues?

Fantastic that there is still no word from Sony in this thread..

Good work guys

I have Sony vaio laptop and it's got this issue too. BT strongly disturb wifi, especially draft N. Sony talks about it in user's manual

I had the same issue. Channel Switching of Wifi did not bring any effect, but it seems switching to a 5GHz WLAN works for me. Probably that will help someone.

Best

I've just been issued with an Xperia tablet Z by my employer, and a bluetooth keyboard.  Connecting the keyboard kills the wifi connection stone dead.

What have Sony done about this?  I see no response from them.

Also I'm experiencing this issue. Sonys should at least let the retailers know so that customers who need to return their tablets can do so less painfully.

Problem is back for me with android 4.3 update (let's not call it an upgrade, as we also lost functionalities such as the quick launch bar....). Please provide a fix (it can be done, 4.2.2 proves it) or provide an easy way to downgrade. This is not a secondary feature as it prevents to enjoy paid music services on BT speakers (including, but not limited to, Sony's own Music unlilited service).
