Hi, can anybody confirm to see a similar problem ?
I have connected a bluetooth mouse and a bluetooth keyboard to the Z Tablet.
My Wifi seems to have then interferences and can not get data in or out even if the signal strength is on full bars.
When I switch off my Bluetooth devices the WIFI is back on right away.
Also just one Bluetooth device is causing the problem however it looks to me as not as severe.
The firmware upgrade has not fixed this problem.
I can reproduce it anytime I connect a Bluetooth keyboard and Mouse.
The WiFi just looses connection.
If I turn bluetooth off, the WiFi is back.
Please fellow owners, check this and report back.
I do not believe this is a unique case .
I tried but wasn't able to replicate the issue on my Tablet Z. And it seems that no other user have replied saying that they have the very same issue. I therefore suggest that you contact your local support team to have this examined at a repair center because you should of course be able to use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections at the same time. Even though I have seen cases of these two disturbing each other since they tend to run on the same frequencies but BT shouldn't be able to completely block Wi-Fi or vice versa.

I just received my Z tablet and am having the same problem with bluetooth interfering with wifi. I have an Anker bluetooth keyboard and whenever it's on, my wifi disconnects.
Also, with bluetooth off, the ping time is very long, about 44 ms average using the FING Network application to ping my router via WIFI. My Kindle Fire in the same location with the same app has an average ping time of 4 ms.
How can I resolve these issues?
Thanks,
Dave
Johan,
thanks a lot for your reply.
I have investigated more into this issue.
Just to make clear, Bluetooth works fine, no trouble at all.
I can connect headphones, mouse, keyboard all works fine.
The issue is that the Bluetooth is impacting the WiFi .
It gets very slow and eventyelly disconnects.
As soon as I switch off my Bluetooth mouse and keyboard it works fine.
Now another update, it looks like it is only happen when I connect both the mouse and the keyboard.
I do not believe that this issue is an isolated incident.
Maybe it is the hardware I use and the specific keyboard and/or mouse is causing this issue (Unlikely but an option)
I will try to get my hands on a diffrent keyboard and mouse and will report back.
Just to let you know, I am really happy with the Tablet Z, that's why I am so interested in helping to improve it.
Maybe not the Z if this is a hardware problem but whaterver tablet comes after it.
Hello Wolfgang,
any news concerning your problem? Couple days ago, I also bought the Xperia Tablet Z and I had the same problem. I tried two bluetooth keyboards but it didn't work anyway. I asked the hotline for advice but I didn't get any help respectively they pretend not to know about the problem. Finally I returned the tablet.
Hi Johan,
I'm using the XBA-BT75 & is encountering the same problem. Wifi performance dropped drastically till the state where it even disconnects at times. Having such issues is making it impossible to stream videos via DLNA with BT devices connected as an audio device.
Hi Stephan,
no not any news other than that I can reproduce this problem.
It looks it is a problem when the Bluetooth device is bidirectional (means does send and receive) I have no problem with headphones, however I have not tried headsets. I will try this weekend and see how this goes (Skype would be a good testcase).
I believe that if more Xperia Z tablets are sold (Which is a good thing) some users will encounter this problem when they want to use blootooth keyboards, Mouse, etc.
Just because not many of use try to use it as a more professional tool does not mean that the problem does not exist.
No punch at Johan but I have some doubts if he really gave it a thorough test.
Bluetooth is working just fine, the effect is that the WiFi gets slowed down and in some cases even disconnects or gets time outs.
One other comment
You don't know what you miss, this tablet is awsome and I learn every day something new about it which relly distinct it from the pack.
I have an IPad and compared to it Sony's tablet is rock and roll !
Everything I was missing on the IPad, Sony has it.
Maybe they can not fix the problem on the Z but I am a hot candidate for the next generation.
The sound system is just breathtaking ,expandable memory, USB connection, HDMI.... I can go on and on...not to forget that my IPad feels like it is filled with lead compared to the Z.
Just want to say this is not "Assumed Answered"
I checked now also Sony's Dualshock bluetooth joystick and it is causing the same effect.
Also headsets with bluetooth sterieo will kill the WiFi !
So no answer at all!!!!!
I see more and more users complaining about that Bluetooth devices cause trouble.
SONY please some feedback if this is a serious issue and if it can be fixed by an update.
So single me out and tell me to go to a repair center is not working here, you will get into trouble very soon.
As mentioned above, I have had the same problem with my Xperia Z tablet. I finally returned it and got something else.
After doing a lot of online research this appears to be a Google problem with Jelly Bean. A lot of Nexus users have been complaining of wifi/bluetooth issues. Like Sony, Google has been pretty unresponsive.
