Is it acceptable that the battery lasts only around 8 hours with normal use?
Could you test if this also happens when the phone is in safe mode?
Do you have an SD card in the phone and if so, could you also try to remove this and see if that helps?
Hi,
I think I found which application was draining the battery. It is "La Poste", which was actively using the localization. I uninstalled the app, and I have no more battery drain on "Android OS".
I have to check Spotify now, which is consuming a little too much, but is not specific to the xperia X.
Glad to hear that you found the app causing it and thanks for letting us know which one
Hi all, snce some updates Saturday/Sunday my battery startet to drain within about 5 hours even in stamina-mode. After a simple restart of the phone it looks like the battery is back to normail. Hope this is helpfull!
For more detailed information about what possibly drains your battery, you can try this

It gives a lot more information compared to what you get in the Battery Stats, but some of it might be a bit technical to digest.
What should be the "normal" % level that Android OS uses?
Been using Xperia X for a couple of weeks now and as i see it then the Android OS is draining the battery. It's been always between 30%-50%. Is'nt that a bit too much?
My android os is 11%.
Have you checked whether are there any accounts you have that is having sync problems?
yep, please double-check background services, lagging apps etc. Consider booting in safe mode. Because this sounds really weird. Even with my havy usage the phone's battery last for two days.
Does the Battery Stats app give enough info or should i really dig in to https://www.reddit.com/r/nexus5x/comments/3y8144/guide_finding_battery_issues_with_googles_battery/ ?
