battery draining superfast

Hi.. I have some problem with my battery. I am getting only 2-3 min battery backup.. Sometimes it ll show 60 % battery.suddenly it will show 0 % and shuts down. When i tried to ask for a battery replacement, sony service centre guy told me that it might be the problem with the motherboard. I dont have any other issue with the phone. I am a bit confused as he is saying the truth or not. Coz the motherboard costs around 9000 rupees.. Kindly guide me with this issue...

I'm sorry to hear that, no one can really tell you w/o inspecting your phone what the actual issue is, it could be a faulty battery or it could be the motherboard or something else, you could try a different battery to narrow down the issue but you might have to submit it to your Local support

The issues you have is not necessarily hardware, this issue can be caused by software also.

Have you attempted a software repair? At least this way you can rule it out.
