Battery Charging

Why does it take so long to charge the battery for my Xperia Z3? Once it's fully charged i'm quite satisfied with the amount of battery usage . I used to have the Z1 compact which I found had an excellent battery - quick to charge as well as a long life!
Anybody else having the same issue?

What i was meaning was try it switched off just to make sure it goes all the way up to 100%........possible reason its only going to 99% whilst you have it switched on is due to apps etc running in the background etc

@ uliwooly I am going to run the phone down to 20% and put it in dock and time it.I will post time on here. Will take a while to get to 20% though,as I am on 86% at the moment

It'll be wise to repeat the process one with a quick charger and another time with a regular charger, if possible turn off the phone while charging.

@ uliwooly will do it from 70%/ one with DK48 and then with standard Sony charger and phone off both times

First charge using Sony supplied wall plug charger with phone turned off. From 70% it took 1 he 29 mins to reach 100%.Will post DK48 results later

2nd charge using a belkin 2.1 amp plugged into the DK48.Phone turned off again,took 1 hr 1 min from 70%..Next charge will be DK48 using Sony.supplied wallcharger
