Hi all,
Does anyone know if its possible that some Xperia S phones could be just incompatible with certain UK networks for mobile data, while working with everything else?
This is what's happening;
My phone (which I bought as an unlocked phone) works on wifi, works for calls and texts, connects to the internet (ie it shows a little 'h' above the signal bars), but will not download any data via mobile data; it works properly for the internet when I have tried other people's sim cards in the phone who are on different networks.
I have tried a load of different suggestions for APN settings, including those suggested to me by technical support at 3, those automatically downloaded by the phone via its internal menus, those found on forums... All with no joy.
(And yes - the problem occurs when wifi is turned off and mobile data enabled!)
Do I just need to sell the thing and get one that's locked to the 3 network?
I would appreciate any insights!!
Cheers,
David
Before you do so try this
1. repair your phone with SUS or PCC
if that doesn't work then
2. get a brand new micro SIM card
if that doesn't work then you should stop by a Sony repair center
