Hello.
Analyzing the system in the .73 firmware I have seen that you i can´t make backups of our apps and their data due we haven´t permissions on the /data filesystem. In the /system you allows read but in the /data we should have read/write/execute but we can not access it, with the consequent problem of can´t make backups of our data ( /data/app ; /data/data )
Any solution?.
That's not quite Sony's fault, if your phone it's locked to a network, it's the network's fault since it's up to them to allow or deny the bootloader to be unlocked
Although the terminal FREE buy, the bootloader is closed. It is a ruling that a user has to unlock the bootloader (if possible), install root, locking the bootloader, to can backup your data, not ?.
at this point yeah, but it won't be long before someone figure out how to root the Xperia S w/o unlocking the bootloader
I know, I follow the project developer does. But I try to explained that is a big mistake block access to the filesystem / data from Sony and I hope that ICS is solved because ... bad.
Sorry for my english.
I agree
Please report it to the development department for evaluation and correction in ICS. Thank you.
