Auto updates

Hello,

After I updated to Android 4.3 my Sony SP predictably ran slower in different ways. But now I've noticed the stupid thing constantly updates apps. I don't always use the internet via my service provider, it's more with Wifi, even so almost every time I connect to do something as simple as check emails or Twitter the stupid thing grinds to a halt while it checks for updates and AUTOMATICALLY downloads them, I really hate this because I cannot do anything while it's doing this.

It's always Google garbage that updates automatically, I'm so fed up of the constant barrage of updates. If I'm checking twitter the combination of Twitter and updates just freezes the phone, I dread it automatically locking at this point because it just doesn't respond in any way until it's "caught up" which is usually a few minutes after. I find this performance so poor, I'm pretty sure my old Xperia Mini would be able to work better. Actually I find the performance of the phone in general really poor. Even my messages seems to take forever, it's not like I have millions but I'm still left staring at a while screen whatching it slowly load everything. I'm always getting messaged saying "XXX is not reasponding, Cancel, Wait, or Close."

Before I baught this phone I done a little reading up and was happy with the result, but now I just keep thinking back to one comment that read "The SP has improved performance and out-performs the Z1" now I seriously doubt that and feel sorry for anyone with one if it's true.

So this had led me to ask weather I can stop ALL apps automatically downloading, and how can I remove the Google garbage I don't use, I navagated to the Apps and tried that way but it just says I cxannot remove built in apps. What is this? Also is there any way to improve this performance, I feel it was quicker before my upgrade.

Thanks

Hello,

This post may sound confusing but I'll try and word it best.

I'm pretty new to the Andriod scene and I'm planning on removing rubbish I do not use from my SP for more performance gains than anything. I know how to uninstall them but I don't know enough about the things I'd like to remove, I tried searching around for some info but cannot find any clear resources.

There are some services that I'm unsure of, like one named 'com.qualcomm.atfwd' what is this? And does it need to be running?

I'd much prefer to buy something and it be a nice clean canvas for my own preferences, typically these type of phones come loaded with stuff I never use. One of the things I hate is it being loaded with Google software because they really make an effort to take over and I don't really like it.

I see I have a few Google things running but all I want is to be able to use Chrome and purchase apps, how can I remove all other stuff from google without effecting chrome and purchasing apps? Can I simply start uninstalling the things I don't want?

I also purchased a music player through 'Play Store' is this a google thing too? And will it effect my purchased app if I was to remove all this google stuff?

Thanks

Take a look here - The apps etc are also named Bloatware - Read through that thread and if the app your thinking of removing isn't listed then leave alone
