gps problem on xperia play

i have xperia play and i  cant use navigation unless i have data connection..
i install papago and my papago cant work fine even i have data connection.
i think my phone have problem with gps satellites..i tried to check gps SNR with GPS TEST but always shown yellow dot....
at status bar shown satelite icon but nothing happen....still cant use gps.

sony... i hope you can help me.

the only way i can use navigation is by using maps...but papago cant work fine.

Open the service menu by press *#*#7378423#*#* in the dialer. Go to service tests > GPS > purge assistance data. Restart phone and remove the battery for a while. Make sure that you have enabled both GPS and use wireless network services under settings > location services. 

Try to use the GPS again and make sure to be outside.

I just bought an Sony play phone. And the GPS will not locate me,

I followed the instructions above, in purging the GPS - turning off, removing battery, but no joy

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Make sure that you have 'use wireless networks' and 'GPS satellites enabled under settings > location and security. And you may have to be outside for the GPS to find your position.
