Android version to be 5.0, Lollipop name confirmed

today this new android version will be launch so we z1 owners should we worried or will android 5.0 Lollipop come to z1

It has been three hours since I installed Lollipop and it's working great, I love the new UI and the notifications systems.

Before the install I did a factory reset to avoid bugs and everything its working perfectly for now. I will updated if I find any bugs.

His guys, Z1 is my 2nd Android phone.

I love Z1 since this stylish and stable than my Samsung Galaxy Nexus while this updated to 4.3.

Everytime I were look forward Android major update would give me a much better experience, but now I sure I'm wrong.

Well, I have first type of PlayStaion Vita, that was Wifi version, I keep try this online via my phone Wifi tethering.

When I still using Galaxy Nexus , I playing it Phantasy Star Online 2 with Wifi tethering everything was good.
Until this After Android 4.3, Google this broke my  tethering, I try contact them and they keep see nothing.

Fine... I swap my Z1 since Nexus were screw up after 4.3 update.

Well, everything was Happy, Sometime I would using "Music Girl Hatsune Miku" listen Music like stupidity, At least I feels this is Fun, I could keep my PS Vita online with 4G. That was happy till 4.4.0 update.

After to major update 4.4.0 , I unable to run my favorite APP, I means that Miku! Yes! I need something Cute to stop my MAD in Real deeply.
Since Google unable APPs access on SD card.

OK Fine , I feel painful but I have Live. Yup? Ok Forget this.... At least I would use it for my PS Vita Online, right?

Alright... Almost after a year...

I was thought I would few my Z1 be more useful and awesome.

 YOU GOOGLE!

i JUST WANT MY LIFE FEWER TROUBLE AND YOU ALWAYS GIVE ME THAT MORE?

Fortunately, I havn't Guns and I'm not in America.

 I better Clam down right now....

Well... Maybe I better look for iPhone....


Dude, I love my Z1. please... fix the stupid Android OS please..

On the phone dialer type *#*#7378423#*#* Look for "Active customization" number   In Service Info/Software Info/ menu.

Use Xperia Update Checker from here:

Update the tool wen it asks in order to have the latest version. In the tool chose your Model and search the list for your customization number. Using the tool is easier to look for available android updates if  for example you have multiple sony phones. You can find for all models at once when the update arrives...

Hello Z1 owners. After updating, so far no issues.

Before i go to school i updated my z1. I encountered an error as it finishes the update. It says that i should not worry,so i disconnected my phone and turned it on. The update ran on start up. Im using lollipop now, but im a little bit worried because there might be errors that are undetected because of the error i mentioned above. How can i diagnose if there is something wrong with my device? And also the camera app is not as smooth as before, anyone experienced this also?

It is good to install new Android version with Pc companion with fresh copy. If u upgrade OTA it upgrades your previous version with it's settings, apps etc. So these apps compatibilities may generate such type errors you got.

Just updated to lolipop. It was very easy. I think new look is good. Phone 📱 works good. I have to use it two or three days inorder to figure out battery usage. New stamina mode is added. Move to sd card works properly.Totally I am happy with new update. Now I am going to test the new update more. Have to add :camera 🎥 works good also. I can say I have a new phone.

Some change wore made to the camera in lollipop version. The Auto focus is faster than before, the iso value is previewed on the fly in the viewfinder, did not test so much the quality of the pictures but i have the impression that the quality has improved (need more testing and comparing). The viewfinder framerate doesn't drop anymore wen a menu is opened. Some new settings in the mattering menu("Multi" and Face") and last the touch block functions from settings that blocks the screen from being accidentally pressed wen taking photos or videos.

The video camera has some new functions to. It now has the capability of recording Full HD 1920x1080 video at 60 fps, and a pause button is added to be able to pause recording and resuming (at last, i'd missed it).

Didn't have the chance to test the camera in low light but i hope some improvements wore made in picture quality.

When my Xperia Z1 (C6902) updated Android 5.0.2 (FW 14.5.A.242), the sound is so bad, it's very low.
Although I turn on Clear Audio+, the volume still too low. :((

Just to be clear, you are referring to the loud speaker? are you using walkman or other apps?
