today this new android version will be launch so we z1 owners should we worried or will android 5.0 Lollipop come to z1
I can't see it coming to the Z1. They haven't got KitKat right yet so it would be a bit of a disaster as it stands.
Plus Sony seem to have washed there hands of the Z1 users as anybody asking any questions never seem to get the answers. People are constantly asking for fixes of there bad software and firmware and how do Sony respond........Look at the new Z2 and how great this is.
Do not hold your breath, Android 5 will probably be a Z2 only firmware. But do not need it my Z1 is great as it is running KitKat. But why not just root and unlock the bootloader and go for a CM version of android 5.
This is wrong information,Android 5.0 is only rumoured but not released.Latest Android version is 4.4.3 running on Nexus devices.Where have you found this information @ghani667 ?
LE:Just as we speak,4.4.4 is rolled out on the Nexus.
android 4.4.4 is in nexus devices now android lollipop 5.0 is releasing in an hour so do some research please and dont delete my messages
I haven't deleted your post.Lets wait until it is released and then see.
Will we and if so when will we get 4.4.3 on Z1? I'm tempted to wipe my phone and reinstall 4.4.2 to see if it is any better like when it was on 4.3 when i bought the phone. I had no issues what so ever then. My major issue now is with it overheating and the tuch screen becoming very unresponsive.
i hope sony skips 4.4.4 and release 5.0 for z1 with awesome features
We just need to fix some bugs that left in 4.4.2. Does it really matter if it's 4.4.2 or 4.4.4? Not sure. We have a Sony overlay and many tweaks under the hood. I would preffer some new features like double tap to wake up or working Bluetooth SMS -> Car Handsfree bugfix than just another os sub-revision.
Developer Preview of Android L will be released tomorrow, final version probably this Autumn. I think that Z1 may get this OS version somewhere around March 2015, Z3?? probably near December 2014 or January 15.
But I don't see any point for new flagship device this fall so maybe we will see Z2 Compact sharing the same hardware as Z2/Z2 Tablet. Then early 2015 release of L version for Z2 series and following release for Z1 series is quite possible. Just my own opinion.
