Hi All, i have had this update in for a couple of weeks now. Have to say im not impressed with many fixes.

I have still had overheat issue on the camera and major focus problems using the camera's creative effects, eg: tilt shift or minautre will not sharply focus, actually when using most of the creative effect and close range, this include a building across the street.. it does not focus.

Another major bug bear was the fact you do a full back up adn then cant restore it as its advises its from a different version. They really need to fix their game but this is an android wide issue.

Agreed, "about time" just be careful, i had a problem, "at the point of the connect your phone again screen", it says if you dont see your phone for 30 seconds, disconnect it and reconnect it, so i followed what it said, after that the phone showed a message, that the update failed, even when no update files had been put on the phone, "no loading bar" and would reboot over and over again, displaying the message, failed update, i fixed it by going in to Sony PC Companion 2.1, and finding repair phone,  its a hidden option

when pc companion tries to connect to the server it needs to try  to check for an update on my software i keep getting an error message saying unable to connect try again later. I want to update to kitkat please help

I have just tried to update to the latest 4.4 Android Kitkat on my Z1 but I am repeatedly getting the message "Could not install new software version, please try again" I've let the phone fully charge as it used to say it would not update unless phone was charged, this has not worked. My phone is not rooted (I wouldn't know where to begin) so this shouldn't be the problem. Any help please?

I really wonder what's going on... The update of Kitkat 4.4.4 released on 28 June 2014. It's already a month later and I still can't update to 4.4.4... I'm currently on 4.4.2, Sony Xperia Z1. Build number; 14.3.A.0.757, I'm living in Holland and my provider is Vodafone. I've tried several times to update by PC companion, but it keeps saying that my device is up-2-date.

I have a xperia Z1, the ugrade to OS4.4.2 is released but I don´t recive the notification to update my phone. 

my friends got the update and I´m still waiting for it. 

I talk with my carrier and they said, I have to wait sony release the update to my phone, additional when I use walkman/settings/sound effects-sound enhancements/settings,,,, here come the magics at this point i got a warning saying "unfortunately. sound enhancements has stopped....

Don't know what to do.

After update I've experienced some charging problems. After plugging in it was fine, but then charging was dropped of.  First, I thought it was socket/cable issue, but charging works fine when device is switched off.
