Settings for Sms/MMS?

Where are they? After a search here, it seems many ppl have similar issues... They want to send their text message as an sms, but the app changes it to an mms after several sms, - wether they wish to or not... I wish to be able to choose myself as it should be, an option in the message one is composing before it is sent - all my mobils has had this option, to be sent as sms or mms, this is my first smartphone Am I missing something in the message? Cannot find it in the menus i go into.... 😞

This was on the news here in the UK very recently and it is now a restriction of the networks - The message will stay as an sms but as soon as you add these smiley faces because it is a picture then it is deemed a mms message

Oh, i am in norway, so not heard anything about it.. But it says in the 'show message details' that they have been sent as sms, and while writing it it said three, and five sms, so i wanted to convert it to an mms but there was no option - so my phone doesn't do what u says... one message with only word, one is tried with adding smiley on, both sent as several sms, i assume! They both said sent as sms/text message, while another message i sent with adding a phone, it converted to an mms and was sent as one. But i can't send a photo each time i wanna send an mms?! 😢

Do you have your mms and mobile data settings installed - Open Settings then More then tap Internet settings and select your network provider making sure to select the right one as some providers have two options
