Hi,
Updated Z3+ to Marshmallow 5.0.2 and subsequently discovered (on the first day back to work) that alarms (native clock) no longer work after the phone is left overnight.
Have checked notifications, priority status, display settings etc. Have force closed, cleared cache and re-started. No success.
If I test the alarm during the daytime (with normal phone usage) it works fine, the problem only occurs when the phone is left idle for extended periods.
Have spent hours on forums looking for solutions, with some references to Doze causing issues, although seemingly not with native clocks and as far as I can tell, not with Xperia devices.
Anyone else experienced it? Any suggestions, advice or fixes?
Thanks 🙂
Just a question, how did you exactly update to 6.0 as the last update available for Z3+ is 5.0.2?
Hi, ah, I got it completely wrong, checked an it's 5.0.2 - sorry!
Just accepted the last update and went straight to the "it must be the latest version, it's from Sony after all" place in my head.
Can you try to leave the device in safe mode overnight and see if the alarms ring normally?
Usually we gor for task killers, antivirus, RAM optimizers and so on.
Thanks - will start with the most recent additions (Bupa Boost, Sugar Smart, Outlook), also updated about 20 apps in one go around the same time - guess this could take some time!
Keep us updated.
