4K and Timeshift video ported to Xperia Z1

why we have to root our phones for xperia z2 features........ sony could easily give us that 4k is not neccesary but software like backlight controll tap to wake timeshift video 1080p/60fps and some are needed so that z1 users can enjoy plus the still camera software needs alot of work for low light performance all this needed for z1

If you are talking about the knock knock function then IMO I don't think the Z1 will officially receive it however if you are rooted then you could install an Xposed framework and have this feature

Boss this is bull**bleep**... Dont compare iPhone with Sony...apple iphone 4 and 5 have a vast difference in processors but z1 and z2 have very few difference.when sony can provide 4k and timeshift on z2 then they can do it on z1 also....apple don't change their model in every 6 months.

why in xperia z1 there is no option like tap to wake up screen and mostion gesture .but it is dissapointing to hear that in midrange phones like xperia t3 its present

If your phone is rooted, check the xda forum, as there's an alternative
