4K and Timeshift video ported to Xperia Z1

why we have to root our phones for xperia z2 features........ sony could easily give us that 4k is not neccesary but software like backlight controll tap to wake timeshift video 1080p/60fps and some are needed so that z1 users can enjoy plus the still camera software needs alot of work for low light performance all this needed for z1

I do not think they said you will get it,only Z2 has those options.

We, as costumers, feel deceived!
It seems they dont release these features so we always keep buying the next released mobile, but acting like that they will loose me as a costumer!

It's sad they dont act like APPLE when it comes to costumers care!

Sorry to say but, Sony's goal is to make great products but also make as much money as possible.

I can not figure out why anybody can feel deceived because of a feature that you do not have which other phones do.

The Z1 is a great phone, and has great features. The Z2 has more, and so what then you should heve waited for the Z2.

It is getting a little anoying of people screaming for features they want, buy another phone or wait a bit longer to buy one.

What apple does is the same as what Sony does, i do not have features which came with the 5 on my Iphone4 so stop complaining please.

Can't you see any difference in spending $550 for a new phone just to get some updated softwares when 6months earlier we have spend the same money on their flagship. sony could easily give us z1 owners timeshift video 1080p/60 fps tap to wake and some extra features plus fix the **bleep** post processing too for less grainy and noisy pictures

Why doesn't the Sony Xperia Z1 and Z1 compact have 4k recording and Timeshift video made available? It would only require a firmware update from Sony right?
