10.1.1.A.1.253 Rollout for Unlocked Phones

Hi,

Would anybody be able to confirm that they have been able to update their unlocked 6603 to the 10.1.1.A.1.253 update via the PC Companion or Update Service? I have an unlocked 6603 and have been checking everyday with both applications since the announcement of the update and both state that my device is up to date, even though it's still running the previous update

Is the rollout both country- AND provider-specific?

As some time has passed since this topic has been mentioned in this forum, I wanted to (re)confirm that others with UK unbranded Zs (still) do not have access to the .253 release either via PCC or SUS. I've checked just now and it's still a thumbs down. Latest news I read on this release was that it was available to German unbranded units, but all is quiet on the UK front (or so it seems).

Nope, I've not either. Mine's unbranded. Even gone as far as borrowing my brother's sim card to see if that made a difference (diff network provider) with no success. We always seem to have to be the patient one's don't we! Really they want to be pulling their fingers from their backsides and sort out the 4.2.2 update!

A month on & no 253 update still on uk unbranded

Like  title suggests, all I keep hearing is just to keep waiting but I have  waited along with other users - so what's new? Nothing.

I find  it hilarious that the mods delete threads about this when it is ON  topic - what, you don't like your customers expressing our thoughts on  something which is your fault? Hmm, interesting..

What  is the explanation here? Because you have the opportunity to say why  it's still not out for us, you just choose to ignore us however.

The most annoying thing is 307 has now been released, yet we're still stuck on 434..

Hi everyone! I'd like to ask for some help since I'm stuck in 434. My friend just recently bought his Xperia Z and he already has a notification to update to 253.

My question is, how come I'm not getting any update notification upon checking through either the phone or pc? Both phones are factory unlocked and we're both using the same carrier. PLEASE HELP!

I'm having the very same problem... I'm stuck on 434 and two of my friends are already on 253 which I find very weird given we all have factory unlocked phones and all under the same carrier.

Anyway, is 307 even newer than 253?

from what i know its newer and i'm still stuck in 434 with a u.s version of the xperia z and still no updates, guess i will wait until i'm able to download from the companion or via wifi on the phone.

That makes me think there's something very wrong with the update process, some people got missed which is odd
