Are you please able to advise what happens when you try to send an SMS, are you getting an error message? Have you tried using an alternative SIM card to see if the problem persists?

So after 3 hours of putting up with Freedom Mobile Tech support having me type in the APN over & over.. I hung up on them took a different sim put it in right away got the configuration file needed SMS works.. put original sim in and no SMS what is wrong is original sim card lost the SMS CENTER NUMBER is missing... SIM card needs to be replaced ... Tell that to Freedom Mobile Tech they still say it's the APN ... Not a lot of brain power floating around Freedom Mobile Tech department... Even the supervisors said the samething.. I'll wait another day call loose it on them get a crap load of credits .... I'll be happy....
Oh BTW what a fantastic phone wow love it ...
That's both good and unfortunate to hear. I hope they help provide a replacement SIM.
