Xperia XA - Touch screen issue

I found that the top edge (esp. top right hand corner) of the screen is not really "senseable".  I need to press a little bit harder then other part of the screen in order to get the response.

I tried with both my glass protector off or on (apparently I have to get a new one after I took one off)

Should I just go to the Sony store and ask for maintenance?

Could you test the touchscreen w/o the glass protector

settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test the touch screen.

Yes, I tried the test you mentioned w/o the protector but it seems that the top right hand corner is not functioning as it should be.

But did you (or other users) find the glass protector now available in the market will in fact worsen the "sensibility" of the screen?

and any recommendation to which manufacturer is more recommended for XA?

Hi

When I am playing my phone for a while, Then the whole screen at the edge will will be less sensible. Sometime it seems the screen at the edge is not resposive or i need to press it many times or press it harder. To resolve it I need to press the power button one time and sometimes it will be resolved.

At first i thought that the touch screen got problem. But if it is the hardware problem then it should happen all the time. So i think that it should be software issue. Then I connect my phone to PC to do the repair as recommended by local Sony call center. But everything still be the same.

Anyone got the same problem?

1. Is it because of the Sony software has problem?

2. Hardware problem? Then if yes why it does not happen all the time? Most of the time 80- 90% of the time it is fine with no problem

3. I have 7 gmails account running in this phone, is the the cause of problem? Just like many gmail sync in the background

4. I have tried uninstall almost all apps out from my phone (left only Line applicatiom) but seem still not resolve (i dont think that Line is the cause of problem and i cant uninstall it as i need to use it for my business all the time.

Hey Pingbara, I'm not entirely certain but to me, that sounds like an issue with the touchscreen on your phone since you said that even after a software repair the issue still remains. I would first suggest trying the phone in Safe Mode to see if it's a third-party app causing the problem just in case.

my X Performance does the same on the upper part of the screen. also in safe mode and after a reset

Thanks for ur post. I will try safemode too tonight when i dont need to use my phone for business. I used to think i am the only who got this strange issue. 90% of the time it works fine but only sometimes that it got problem.

I will be in safe mode tonight and play it for 2-3 hours to see will there still be problem

Possibly the Sony OS needs more update. Anyway i will try safe mode tonight and let everyone knows.
