Call bug?

I wanted to call my dad but whenever I dial to call all it does is one beep then the call ends. My dad said he can't call either. I tried to call another number but it's the same. Someone help me??

That's really odd, try this:

1 check if you have network coverage 

2 restart the phone

3 test another SIM card if possible
