Bluetooth battery drain

Hi All,

I'm an happy user of my xa1 g3112 updated with last version Android 7 40.0A.6.175

I suppose after the last update a bug has been triggered and now I'm suffering a battery drain issue

Bluetooth is continuosly eating battery in the listed application is always on top or second place

This is happening despite no devices are connetced

So far that's the list of attempt I've done to fix the issue wihtout luck:

- Reboot in safe mode

- delete all the devices paired

- restore app permission

- Disabled bluetooth scanning

- enable stamina

- as last flag bluetooth processes as not optimized

Anyone has the same exerience, any fix thanks

Stefano

I was just thinking of asking you if they have fixed the bug, in these days I have not had time to update, great news

After several days of usage I can confirm that I haven't any drain anymore

Battery consumption is even better than before

Today I've restarted the phone because I wasn't able to answer to the calls. Sliding the screen the phone was still ringing but after the reboot I didn't had any problem anymore

In any case that's really an indication of how much was low the maturity of nougat and all the updates received in between were only security patches without any user improvement

I have the same problem,

same phone, same build but it seems to me that the problem existed before the last update, the bluetooth was used in pairing with the car to play only music.

Are there any solutions?

I also have the same problem.

I bought a new XA1 ultra, then I found the bluetooth consumed power almost half total power. I tried every mothods you mentioned, but it still did not work.

Multi platform bug should increase the severty to speed up the resolution

the issue has been triggered by a Sony update or with the rom from factory the issue wasn't present?

When did you purchase the mobile?

My feeling is that wasn't present with the rom from factory bought in September 2017

I hope today's update to 40.0.A.6.189 solves the problem

Bit of background information: I received my phone last Sunday and it has been working fine. Yesterday morning I woke up and my phone's battery was completely drained (not too surprised) soI charged it up. My phone battery jumped from 0% up to 14% pretty quickly and then when I powered the phone on it had jumped up even more from 14% to 45% in a matter of seconds. The phone then proceeded to charge fully with no issues.

My issue: Last night when I went to bed, my phone was on 69% battery. I put my phone onto airplane mode to prevent notifications during the night and have my stamina mode constantly enabled as well as data saver etc. When I woke up this morning however my phone was on 4%! I am very upset and confused about this as the reason I switched to a new phone to begin with was my iphone's battery left a lot to be desired.

Has anyone else experienced an issue like this? returning it may be an issue as I bought it from a second hand shop. The phone itself is immaculate and I haven't experienced any noticeable issues with it until this happened

I've tested new build for one day without luck. Bluetooth issue still there

In any case I didn't found any release notes of the new software

There are few options there

If the issue can be resolved with an update we should hope in oreo

If the issue is originated by a design or quality issue we can give a try via technical assistance to get a replacement and cross the fingers that would be the last resort

Same issue here... Bluetooth consums about 35% of battery each day!

That's a mess the only work around I have is to use aatasker like Llama to turn off bt in the most convenient way

More or less it s performing 12 tasks every day to avoid battery drain

I'm having the same problem. Was told to do a factory reset. Which I don't think will make much of a difference. But I will try before taking it back again. My Sony XA1 is only 3 months old too.
