Bluetooth and Wifi Issues

In the last few weeks I've been experiencing frequent issues with my bluetooth and wifi.  My phone forgets my bluetooth headset and I have to resync to get it to work.  As well with my wifi it will have authentication issues with my router.  I often have to restart my phone to fix both the bluetooth and the wifi issues.

This is getting extremely frustrating.  I only bought this phone at the end of August and it's already having issues.

Probably is a carrier dependent feature.

On another thread, there was made mention that after a major system update, it is advisable you do this factory reset (just make a back up image of the phone for convenience).

When I did a factory reset, restoring my phone was easy as sony did put all my installed application via the backup.

Just to give an update.. its been a few days and the wifi/bt/data issue on my phone never occured after the mentioned fix.. 

With this sorted out, i think i can live with a lagging camera 😐

This is what I did:

Settings > location > top right three dots > scanning, then uncheck both options to use Bluetooth and wifi.

Everything is working perfectly for me now.

How long have you been trying this for? Seems some people have the issue disappear for a few days only for it to get ugly again.

That said, I'll try this too, and report back. I don't like things randomly searching for location anyway.

NMiller, much appreciated for finding. I only disabled bluetooth scanning because I recall somewhere else that the problem was Bluetooth interfered with WiFi. Since your comment, I've been good. And normally it doesn't last past an hour.

Hi Matt and Louie,

My suggestion has been working multiple days now, whereas it would fail daily for me previously. Just hope it helps everyone else until Sony has a chance for a permanent fix.

p.s. Great job isolating to just the Bluetooth

Had my xa1 ultra it's not a good phone at all, supposedly factory reset to sort it, will not connect to WiFi, play videos, lags just a ripoff to be fair

El problema fue con Google. Entra a Settings - > Location entonces Toca El Boton de menu, toca Scanning y apaga los dos opciones

The problem was with Google. Go to Settings -> Location then Touch the Menu button, touch Scanning and turn off the two options
