Bluetooth and Wifi Issues

Bluetooth and Wifi Issues

In the last few weeks I've been experiencing frequent issues with my bluetooth and wifi.  My phone forgets my bluetooth headset and I have to resync to get it to work.  As well with my wifi it will have authentication issues with my router.  I often have to restart my phone to fix both the bluetooth and the wifi issues.

This is getting extremely frustrating.  I only bought this phone at the end of August and it's already having issues.

Ah well... It was the only thing I could think of to do as I have no other solutions forthcoming from Sony regarding this.

So frustrating!  Had Sony Experia xa1 Ultra phone for three months. So frustrating how Bluetooth and WiFi are unreliable and finicky.  Never had such problems with other phones.

I've bought Xperia XA1 Ultra in September 2017. First, I used Bluetooth to send photos to my computer. One week later, when I'd wanted to open Bluetooth, I'd seen the message "Application is closed" "Application is stopping constantly". Then I sent the phone to the technical service. They've updated the software and sended back to me. when ı get back the phone, the app was working. And after five days, I started to saw the same error again and again. Now, I've sent to service again. But the service said that the phone has an error of user and they wanted from me to pay money (this quantity is nearly the quarter of the whole phone price) and then they can try to solve problem. SONY says, they trust the service, and my phone is out of the guarantee! SONY created a huge frustration on me and my family... They just blame on me... But they had to better look at their Bluetooth supplier... May be Bluetooth SIG Inc. wants to care about this problem...

This has honestly been one of the worst Androids I've had.  such a shame.  The Bluetooth and Wifi are constantly having issues and even my data signal isn't totally reliable.  The airplane mode only works half the time. sometimes it won't even fully engage.  it's like they made this model out of rejected parts.

I had this problem since I got the phone last week. Had received OTA and minor updates but problem still exists. Had factory reset as well.

It's not only Bluetooth and Wifi, but mobile data connectivity has issues as well. Restart will fix the problem temporarily but after an hour or so all three may stop working again.

Both LTE and 4G/3G would connect, but data won't flow…Both LTE and 4G/3G would connect, but data won't flow…

Similar problem. I've had my Xperia XA for just over a year with no problems. I recently connected it to a FitBit, and had bluetooth on constantly to share notifications. Wifi networks (all of them) started to show "Authentication problem", which went away briefly whenever I restarted the phone but then came back after a few hours. Tried resetting network settings, which again only fixed it briefly. Turning off bluetooth made this problem disappear, even for weeks. Turning it back on again brought the problem back after a few hours. Bluetooth off again -> problem gone.

Is the problem more likely to be the fitbit or bluetooth itself?

I believe that the Bluetooth issue is an android 7 one... Not a Sony one. There is a planned Oreo upgrade for certain devices so you may be lucky. I have terrible issues with the XA1 ultra and my BMW X1.... It's dire.... I've tried a factory reset, turning WiFi on and off, resetting network properties the lot. My only hope is to downgrade the firmware to android 6.0 and wait for the 8 update to see if it improves things... Such a shame for a magnificent phone.

Is anyone from Sony going to respond to this major issue? Or is support just waiting for this thread to go cold? Because... Bump!

So far the only thing I've found that works is to limit how many wireless functions are active at the same time.  Bluetooth, Wifi, and NFC.  For some reason these conflict and cause issues but if you only have one active - it's more stable. /shrug

I tried to contact with Sony, but they've been saying only one thing for my phone: user's fault. Even if i say that I only want to fix that Bluetooth connection, they say this phone is out of the guarantee and you must pay for the siding of the phone. In fact, this connection problem was there before "my fault".But they didn't understand I don't care the outside of it (and there's no big scratch to talk about) I care about the Bluetooth connection, but they listen to technical service... And I don't believe they really do their jobs, sufficiently.
